The handbook helps journalists investigate how U.S. groups fuel hatred against LGBTQI+ people domestically and abroad. It includes extensive lists of anti-LGBTQI+ hate groups, many of which are U.S.-based ministries. Guidance for effective investigations and a summary of religious views on sexual and gender minorities is also part of this guide. The booklet’s examples of dangerous policies, discourses and practices introduce journalists to the many ways hate groups abuse the human rights of sexual and gender minorities.
