November 6 – 10, 2016
Cape Town, South Africa

Taboom’s co-founders Brian Pellot and Debra Mason, in association with Religion News Foundation (RNF), the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and Religion News Service, hosted a four-day workshop on covering religion and SSOGIE (sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression) issues for 24 journalists from 15 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa.

This training was made possible through generous support from the Arcus Foundation and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Southern Africa with programmatic input from Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action (GALA) at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
